Shortlisted for Excellence in Customer Service Award

STL Communications has been shortlisted for the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2018 for the Excellence in Customer Service category.

The winner will be announced at a black-tie gala dinner on Wednesday 27th June at the Hilton Hotel in Reading. This event, the first ever Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce (TVCC) business awards dinner, will be hosted by swimmer Mark Foster who is a five-time Olympian, World, European and Commonwealth Champion and holder of eight world records.

As part of the entry process, STL had to demonstrate how our key objectives and overall strategy for customer service is incorporated into our business plan, including details of training and recruitment strategies to build specialist customer care knowledge and skills. We highlighted the steps we have taken to enhance customer service across the organisation and to measure performance against objectives.

Brendon Cross, MD of STL Communications said, “Customer care is central to STL’s ethos and it is a key part of every employee’s role. It has become of even higher importance in recent years as we have reacted to the changing telecoms market by shifting our business strategy towards increasing recurring monthly business over one off hardware sales. We are delighted to have been announced as one of the four finalists in the TVCC Excellence in Customer Service Award as it reflects the efforts of our whole team to excel in customer care.”

A spokesman for the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce told STL, “We have been overwhelmed by the sheer number of entries, so it’s a great achievement for you and your company.”

The Thames Valley is part of the accredited Chamber network and so STL’s entry has been automatically entered into the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) national awards, so we have our fingers crossed for even more recognition.
