Audley Travel wins STL WOBA Award
STL’s FD Bill Smith announced Audley Travel as winner of the prestigious STL Communications West Oxfordshire Business of the Year 2018 at the West Oxfordshire Business Awards 2018 (WOBAs). The announcement was made as the very last award and the pinnacle of the evening, at a glamorous event hosted at Heythrop Park Resort on Friday 23 March.
The annual WOBAs are now in their eighth year and provide an opportunity for the very best of West Oxfordshire businesses to receive recognition for outstanding achievements over the past year.
The title of STL Communications West Oxfordshire Business of the Year is awarded by the judges to the business that best represents West Oxfordshire in terms of its success, its commitment to the local area, its contribution to the local economy and its role as an ambassador representing the area on a wider stage. The judges will make their selection from the winners of all the other 11 WOBA categories.
The stunning and totally unique West Oxfordshire Business of the Year trophy was designed by students from Abingdon and Witney College and made out of wood by Synolos, a charity that offers practical support and encouragement to help empower lives where that help is needed.
Bill Smith said, “Having been successful in several categories at the WOBAs over the last few years, STL knows what a difference the Awards make to a business, whether as a winner, a finalist, or simply by making the most of the benefits gained from the process of entering. STL is proud to present this stunning trophy, which has been designed by the students from Abingdon and Witney College and created by Synolos, to Audley Travel as the 2018 West Oxfordshire Business of the Year.”
Commenting on this year’s WOBA winners, Jo Sensecall from the WOBA organising team, said: “The calibre and breadth of entries this year has been exceptional and we would like to congratulate all the winners and finalists who should be very proud of their achievements.”
