Pragma launch with an F1 theme
STL Communications chose to launch the Ericsson-LG iPECS range to their customers at the HQ the Sahara Force India F1 team with Pragma. This launch cements the new partnership between STL and Pragma, sole UK distributors of iPECS products.
Following an overview of STL and their 16 year relationship with Sahara Force India F1 by STL’s sales director Phil Donigan, delegates heard Pragma’s Helen Ranaghan talk about the communication solutions that the iPECS range provides for businesses. A key differentiator the iPECS offers is the ability to deploy cloud, on-premise, private cloud or a hybrid solution, using the same handset range and providing the same feature set. This was a key factor that STL considered when selecting Ericsson-LG to be added to their portfolio, and has enabled major wins with customers over the last 12 months. It allows a business to choose the method of deployment that is right for their business today, while protecting their investment and giving them the flexibility to change as and when this might be required.
Other key aspects that were covered in the presentation were the rich blend of applications that can be deployed to integrate a business’s processes into its communication strategy, improving efficiency and deliver the best possible customer service. A key focus was mobility and how Unified Communications applications can be used to provide connectivity for mobile users wherever they are in the World, a relevant topic given the venue with an F1 team visiting 20 countries each season.
After the presentations, delegates had a personal guided tour of the Sahara Force India F1 factory, with visits to different departments to learn from the team about how an F1 car is made and the challenge to get each individual component to be lighter, stronger and perform at its best in order to make the car go faster. They also enjoyed talks by members of the composites, engine and mechanical design teams which prompted a host of questions about the intricacies of designing a part for an F1 car.
Phil Donigan commented, “We are delighted to be partnering with Pragma to promote their Ericsson-LG iPECS range of products and this was an opportunity to get some of our existing customers together to tell them about the exciting new range of Pragma products and at the same time to enjoy a morning of F1 facts, stats and behind the scenes insights into the workings of an F1 team.”
