STL’s future looks bright
STL employees enjoyed the latest company meeting where Brendon Cross MD and Bill Smith FD shared their growth plans for the next year.
Said Brendon, “Following a year of consolidation, investment and hard work, the company is in a good position for the new financial year ending March 2018 with new products, new systems and new teams in place to move the business forward, building on the traction and momentum pulsing through the firm.”
The world of telecoms is changing fast and STL has embraced change and succeeded in morphing into a growing integrated services solution provider, supplying hosted systems for voice and data. Brendon adds, “There has been a strong uptake in recurring revenue based products with many next generation products including Ethernet, MPLS, WAN, SIP, hosted telephony and mobile replacing the traditional hardware wins that STL has historically been so successful in. By selling these next generation products on long term contracts our financial stability is further increased.”
STL’s senior management team has successfully managed STL’s evolution from hardware provider to integrated services solutions provider by investing heavily in new software, new technology, new people and training.
Brendon also asked for feedback and the ensuing open forum was an opportunity for all staff to actively participate in giving feedback and discussing a range of topics from employee benefits to social events, suggestions for improvements to order processing, CRM and further improving customer service. Working parties were set up to look closer at these areas as well as how to better measure STL’s own performance against its published service levels. Brendon adds, “These regular company meetings are a chance to engage with the whole company so that everyone feels involved and informed, enthused and rewarded. The suggestions from the floor are also very valuable, often providing some of the best ideas to make us more successful which ultimately benefits all our employees.”
Staff enjoyed bacon sandwiches and coffee before the meeting, which was attended by engineers and operations, sales and finance before everyone headed back to the office for a day’s work!
