Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce joins STL for technology seminar in the fast lane
STL hosted a seminar about the latest communication technology to kick off the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce’s ‘Excellence in engineering’ programme. Held at Sahara Force India F1 on Thursday 9th December, the event demonstrated how the engineering of communications enhances the agility of any business.
With communications of particular importance to SME’s whether they are looking to grow their business or move premises, as well as those in long established firms, the seminar helped delegates learn more about how the engineering improvements in communications can assist with their business operations.
Philip Donigan, STL’s Sales Director, spoke about the relationship that STL has had with Sahara Force India F1 over the last 16 years. STL provides network services, lines and calls to Sahara Force India F1 across their 5 sites, including the race team.
As he introduced the next speaker, Paul Wakefield of Gamma, Phil also talked about STL being one of the top Gamma Platinum Partners and how STL’s next generation focus has been a key driver.
Paul Wakefield, Gamma’s SIP Product Manager, gave an enlightened presentation about how the business communication market is changing and the challenges that businesses face in bringing IT and business communication together. The need to deliver more services like mobility, cloud, data and social business, faster and yet with less resources, both in the form of people and money, is common to most SME’s. He explained how the latest in connectivity and communications solutions can help businesses to work more effectively.
Delegates were then treated to insightful presentation from the Sahara Force India team about pit stops, race day technology and communications as well as how the team functions. The icing on the cake was a factory tour and a visit to the team’s new simulator.
